A couple weeks ago we went up to visit Seth's mom and Dennis for the annual town carnival. Levi enjoyed it last year
and I thought he'd like it even more this year. Seth's mom was excited to take him "down to the ground" and she bought bracelets for the both of them so they could ride the rides all afternoon. Levi did well on the first two rides and then I thought he might enjoy the little catepillar roller coaster...
Unfortunately I was wrong! He made it around once and I went to snap a picture and saw that he was screaming. Thankfully there was only one other kid of the ride so the guy was able to stop it so I could get him off of there.
He spent the rest of the time telling us he wanted to go back to Grammy's house and then wanted to be held. There was no way I was lugging around 40lbs. for the afternoon so I grabbed that stroller and he proceeded to fall asleep a few minutes later. I guess going to bed at 11 and waking up at 6:30 just wasn't working for him!
Thankfully Bev was able to find some other folks to ride her favorite ride with! I would've loved to have ridden with her again but with the bun in the oven I was pretty much "banned" from all the crazy rides.
We left the fairgrounds and spent some time relaxing at Seth's mom's for a bit before heading back into town to watch the parade. Levi got a kick out of all the tractors. Seth's cousin, Joel, drove their family's old tractor...pulling a baby calf in the back of the trailer with some of the family (top right picture). The candy was also a big hit with the Little Man and apparently Little Bean is a fan of marching bands...bouncing all around whenever the drums passed by!
