When Denise was out for Thanksgiving she told me what she asked for for Christmas...only one thing, well, two kind of...a gift card to the spa and a trip to visit me, by herself! She must have been on the "nice" list last year because "Santa Claus" came through!  Denise got what she wished for and came out this past weekend to see me.

On Saturday morning she enjoyed a quiet four hour ride across the state and arrived early in the afternoon.  We took a trip to the outlets shortly after she got here and then met an old friend in the evening at the Melting Pot for cheese, chocolate and chatting.

Unfortunately Sunday was kind of a bust...the waitress must have given Denise caffeinated coffee because she only got two hours of sleep Saturday night and spent most of Sunday sleeping.  On Monday morning we made our way to the hotel while Seth stayed back with the Little Man.  We checked in at the spa, snagged some hot cocoa and waited in our matching robes for our massages. I had been there a couple of times in the past, but it was much more fun to share the experience with someone!  Since my mom was watching the girls, Denise wound up hanging out the rest of the day with Levi and me...running some errands, coming along on Fonzie's walks and playing trains with Levi.  Having her here made me wish that we lived closer to each other so we could do stuff like this more often.  Hopefully in years to come we can make the "sister weekend" more of a regular event :-)
