The other day I was listening to the Paul Simon station on Pandora and that Bob Dylan song came on. It seems to be the song of this year so far...the times are changing! After dealing with Levi's sleep issues for a number of weeks I had had enough...we needed to change something. So, after talking with a few different people I decided the easiest option was to just take away his nap (say it ain't so!!!). About three weeks ago we went without the blissful two hour afternoon reprieve. *sigh* Levi seemed to do OK without the extra sleep and went down around 8 without any fight (a HUGE improvement from 11!). Gradually he's become more grumpy when 1:30 rolls around....I've learned that I have to pick my poison. Do I want to deal with Grumpy Levi for four or five hours or fight with him at 10:30pm? So far I've gone with the first option....dreading it some days and enjoying more free time to play on the other days.
I guess we'll have to take Fonzie out earlier for his afternoon walks because this is how I usually find Levi when we get back to the house! This afternoon he was particularly out of it...I had to get a video of him. Poor kid...hopefully some day we'll work out the kinks and our afternoons will be a bit more enjoyable. In the meantime I'm trying to keep my sense of humor!
