I was recently thinking about goals for the new year. I thought I had remembered posting something on the blog about making resolutions. Sure enough I looked back in the 'ol archives and found a list I had made six years ago. As I looked through the list I had to smile...not much has changed, I'd probably write the same list now. Read more books & watch less...drink more water & less soda...cook something new more often...write more in a journal...workout more consistently. There were two exceptions to my old list...now I'm trying to get Fonzie to walk better on a leash instead of Winchester and I'd like to start helping Levi memorize some Bible verses, as well as learn some new ones myself.
A couple weeks ago I started working on the last one by teaching Levi Proverbs 3:5 (I'm not really sure why I picked that one...it was the first one that came to mind I guess). He's got the first half down pretty well and is working on the second part. We're working on the right words...right now he likes to personalize it and says "with all my heart", instead of with all your heart. At least he's got the concept down :-)
