This is where Fonzie spends a good portion on his days (thankfully!). He loves to hang out on the deck...chomping on his sticks on his bed or watching what's going on in the yard. You can see how his natural protective nature comes out at times like these...ears perked up, looking like he's "on guard". Thankfully we're also seeing the effects of socializing him early. For the most part he's excited to meet new people and welcomes strangers that we welcome (not something that is typical of the breed).
This past Friday, I had him at the vet to get his nails clipped. While we waited for the vet techs I stuck him on the scale. I'm thankful kids don't grow as quickly as dogs! The last time I went, Fonz had Levi by a pound...since then Fonzie's at least doubled his weight (81lbs)! Hopefully he'll get better about walking on a leash soon or else I'll really end up getting dragged around by the time he's full grown.
